Leadership

Creating Alignment

Tuesday:

Chess vs Checkers Supervision, Chad Coppess and Abby Banfield
Leading people is not a one size fits all style of leadership. Effective leaders understand the strengths, weaknesses, and styles of their team members and leverage those differences to form a strong team. In this workshop we will examine how to evaluate and leverage these differences in order to empower team members to function as an effective team. We will also discuss how to adjust your leadership style to engage and equip different team members but yet still move them all towards the common mission.

Wednesday:

Building A Healthy Board Culture, Katie Appold
A healthy Board culture is vital to a healthy ministry! What is the role of the Board and how can a ministry leader create a positive and impactful culture from the top down?

Thursday:

A Christ Centered Approach to Impacting our Culture, Skot Welch
Using lessons from his latest book, "Unfractured", Skot uses Scripture, facts and stories to help you better understand true diversity and how the common bond of our identity in Christ can unite us in ministry that will impact the world around us.

Programming

Serving with Excellence

Tuesday:

Programs with a Purpose, Nicholas Kristock
Limited staff? Limited budget? Get maximum impact by aligning your programs with your Purpose, Mission, and Vision.

Wednesday:

The Art and Science of Difficult Conversations, Ben VanderKodde
At some point soon, you will again have a difficult conversation: the type of conversation that you would happily delegate to someone else if you could! Rather than avoiding or stumbling through it, we will look at how to approach and how to prepare so that you can deliver well. We will talk about the philosophy and techniques that will help give you confidence as you navigate these situations.

Thursday:

Fully Participate in the Greater Ministry Community, Chris Horst
How to find partnerships that move the kingdom forward in your area.

Advancement

Resourcing the Ministry

Tuesday:

Telling Your Story, Jess Ronne
Effective storytelling can engage the minds… and hearts… of your donors and help you grow the army of supporters your ministry needs!

Wednesday:

How to do Development Without a Full-Time Development Officer, Kent Wallace
We will share how to prioritize your development strategy to focus on those things that will generate the greatest EROI (Eternal Return on Investment). We will show how you can be effective in fund development in as little as 2 hours a week.

Thursday:

Planned Giving Primer, Dan Hubka
I know we need Planned Giving… where do we start?
