Real Life Ministry Experience
PACE apprentices are provided with a short-term, full-time, real camp ministry experience. You are equipped both personally and professionally in character-based servant leadership.
Each apprentice will grow in personal character, understanding of camp ministry, and skills specific to camp ministry while helping to further the mission of Grace Adventures. It is our hope that each apprentice would leave with a better understanding of who they are and be fully employable in ministry.

We are looking for individuals who…
- Have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ
- Come with a solution-minded attitude
- Have excellent workmanship
- Are able to communicate well with others
- Love working with youth, adults, and families.
- Are able to stand for long periods
- Feel called into ministry or camping ministry
- Are at least 21 years old
- Have a valid Drivers License

Program Features
14 Months
Training will begin in late August and the experience will wrap up in early November.
Develop Camp Ministry Skills
Grace will give opportunities for apprentices to grow in skills they already have and train them in skills necessary for specific jobs if they are unknowledgeable in those areas.
Receive One-On-One Coaching
You will regularly have time scheduled to sit with your supervisor and discuss how you are doing personally, professionally, and spiritually and where you can grow.
Spiritual Development & Education
You will have opportunities to continue to grow in your Christian walk and Christ-like character.
Live and Work at Grace Adventures
Apprentices will live in healthy community of Grace Adventures as well as in Oceana Country by interacting with others here at Grace and attending a local church.
Housing & Living Stipend Provided
Housing will be provided for all apprentices on the Grace Adventures campus. You will, also, receive a bi-weekly living stipend.
Network With Ministry Professionals
During the apprenticeship, you will have opportunities to learn from our full-time team as well as professionals in partner ministries, other camps from Michigan, Indiana, and Ohio, and more!
Grow In Your Leadership
Further your leadership abilities through working as part of a team, serving guests, leading projects, and more. You will also be equipped with skills in giving feedback, approaching conflict in a healthy way, leading people at different learning stages, and understanding your own leadership style.
Professional Ministry Experience
Gain a basic understanding of what a ministry lifestyle looks like as a young professional.

Earn Your Master's Degree!
This is an optional addition to your PACE experience. The program cost is the responsibility of the student.
Academic enrollment is made possible through our partnership with Eleven:6, an organization that designs and launches custom university-grade leadership and discipleship training programs with a growing network of churches, Christian camps, mission agencies, and other faith-driven organizations.
Master's Degree
Anchor Christian University
Degree: Master of Art in Christian Leadership
Earn College Credit
Upon completion, ALL PACE students are eligible to receive up to 24 credits (upon program of study) at Grace Christian University. These credits can be applied toward a bachelor’s Degree.
